Ronald (Duke) Hopkins

Ronald Dean (Duke) Hopkins age 65 passed away Monday 11-30-2009 at his home. Duke was born on Nov. 30th, 1944 to his parents the late Homer Hopkins and Mervil Adkins Hopkins. He was a retired truck driver and a member of the Protestant Church. Along with his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by one sister, Claira Izetti Hopkins. Ronald is survived by four sons, Ryan Hopkins of Pikeville, Jamie Hopkins of Pikeville, Chad Hopkins of Pikeville, Ron Brooks of Michigan, three brothers, Dennis Ray Hopkins of Pikeville, Dorby Wayne Hopkins of Shelbiana, David Hopkins of Shelbiana, three sisters, Phyllis Matheny of Pikeville, Dorothy Gearhart of Shelbiana, Lois Adkins of Shelbiana, eight grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday 12-1-2009 at 6p.m. at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Thursday 12-3-2009 at 12 noon at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Teddy Honaker officiating. The burial will follow in the Hopkins Cemetery at Greasy Creek.
