Barbara A. Coleman

Barbara A. Coleman, age 90, of Sookey's Creek passed away Monday February 2, 2010 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Barbara was born November 15, 1919 to the late Maggie and Fred Coleman. She was a retired school teacher of the Pike County Board of Education and a member of the Little Creek Old Regular Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Elmo Coleman and Raymond Coleman and by two sisters, Sally Gilpin and Nannie Mae Bartley. She leaves behind one sister, Eleanor Johnson of Louisville, KY along with a loving host of many nephews, nieces, family and friends. Visitation will be at he Lucas and Son Funeral Home after 6 P.M. on Wednesday February 3. Special services will be held Thursday night at 7 P.M. Funeral services will be at the funeral home on Friday, February 5th at 11 A.M. with Teddy Honaker, Kermit Wright, and others officiating. Burial will follow at the Potter Cemetery in Yeager, KY.
