Mary Alice Scalf

Mary Alice Scalf age 80 passed away Friday, January 1st, 2010 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Mary was born on April 7th, 1929 to her parents the late Melvin Scalf and Ann Scalf. She was the wife of the late Don Walter Scalf, a homemaker, and a believer of the Baptist Faith. Along with her husband and parents, Mary was preceded in death by two sisters, Gertrude Lewis and Carol Lee Lewis, and one brother, Walter Scalf. Mary is survived by four daughters, Jean Gray, Sue Stamplis, Faye Mock, Loretta Burke, three sons, Ray Scalf, Terry Scalf, Brian Scalf, one brother, Jackie Donald Scalf, fifteen grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Monday from 3p.m. to 9p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Tuesday 01/05/2010 at 11a.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Morgan Chapman officiating. The burial will follow in the Scalf Cemetery.
