Reafa Mavis

Reafa Machele Mavis age 44 passed away Friday, June 25th, 2010 at her home. She was born on September 26th, 1965 to her parents Reaford Blackburn and Ellen Justice Blackburn. She was the wife of Greg Mavis, a retired registered nurse for ARH at Prestonsburg, a believer of the Baptist Faith, and an affiliate of the Easter Star. Along with her husband and parents, Reafa is survived by one daughter, Katie Ellen Mavis of Shelbiana, two sons, Patric Mavis of Houston, Texas, Scotty Mavis of U.S. Marines, one brother, Reaford Blackburn Jr. (R.J.) of Louisville, Ky, a special aunt, Jackie Slone, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Friday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Saturday June 26th, 2010 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Kip Collins officiating. The burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
