Glenn Snodgrass, Jr.

Glenn Snodgrass, Jr., age 69, of Collins Highway, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2009, at his residence. He was born on July 5, 1939, the son of the late Glenn and Mattie Bowens Snodgrass. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one sister, Florene Newsome. Glenn worked for the City of Pikeville for 33 years as a Service Supervisor. He is survived by his wife, Marquita Cole Snodgrass, four daughters, Kathleen (Paul) Sneed of Shelbiana, Mattie (Daniel) Spicer of Irvine, KY, Lahoma Snodgrass Meade of Pikeville, and Harriet (Trevis) Collins of Lower Pompey, by two brothers, Homer Gene Snodgrass of Elkhorn City and William "Bill" Delbert Snodgrass of Columbus, OH, by four grandchildren, Crystal Sneed, Joshua Sneed, Molly Meade, and Daniel Ray Spicer, and by three great-grandchildren, Harley Paige Newsome, Haley Weddington, and Elijah Weddington. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2009, after 6 p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 1 p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Donnie Harris and others officiating. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery. Special services will be held on Saturday and Sunday nights at 7 p.m.
