Martha Ann Nichols

Martha Ann Maynard Nichols age 89 passed away Monday 1-11-2010 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Martha was born on Dec. 15th, 1920 to her parents the late Eldon "Doc" Maynard and Lillian Glatice Stamper Maynard. She was the wife of the late Phinas Nichols, a homemaker and mother, and a member of the Old Regular Baptist Church. Along with her husband and parents, Martha was preceded in death by one son, Emmett Nichols, one grandchild, one great-grandchild, one brother, Elster Jean Maynard, and one sister, Minta Mae Maynard. Martha is survived by three sons, Sabert (Larnie) Nichols of Pilgrim, Ky., Danny (Tonia) Nichols of Gulnare, Ky., P. Lindsey (Donna) Nichols of Richmond, Ky., three daughters, Ortha (Isaac Paul) Walters of Gulnare, Ky., Bethel (Cecil) Setser of Gulnare, Ky., Lillian (Denver) Hale of Pikeville, Ky., one daughter in law, Dixie Carol Nichols, one brother, Eldon Maynard of Tn., one sister, Dora Griffey of Ocala, Fl., twenty-two grandchildren, forty-nine great-grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Monday at 5p.m. at the Apple Orchard Old Regular Baptist Church. Special services will be Tuesday night at 7p.m. The funeral will be Wednesday, 1-13-2010 at 11 a.m. at the Apple Orchard Old Regular Baptist Church with Old Regular Baptist Ministers officiating. the burial will follow in the Apple Orchard Cemetery.
