Lucy Victoria Westmoreland

Lucy Victoria Scalf Westmoreland, age 83 passed away Monday 1-11-2010 at the Signature Health Care Center in Pikeville. Victoria was born on Sept. 20th, 1926 to her parents the late Willie David Scalf and Virdie Alice Varney Scalf. She was the wife of Howard Westmoreland, a homemaker, and a member of the Primitive Baptist Church. Along with her parents, Victoria was preceded in death by two sons, Roger Dale Murphy, Glen Haze Murphy, and three daughters, Fonnie Mae Murphy, Mary Kay Murphy, and Barbara Sue Thompson. Along with her husband, Victoria is survived by six daughters, Yvonne Current of Millard, Ky., Bonnie Porter of Raccoon, Ky, Rena Faye Deihm of Pikeville, Ky., Lorraine Williams of Shelbiana,Ky., Darlene Keathley of Ivel, Ky., Nell Layne of Kimper, Ky., one son, Gary Murphy of Corbin, Ky., several grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Friday 1-15-2010 at 12 noon at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Robbie & Ricky Worrix officiating. The burial will follow in the Layne & Hess Family Cemetery on Hurricane Creek.
