Iva Compton

Iva Compton age 98 passed away Wednesday, January 6th, 2010 at the Cedar Creek Assisted Living. Iva was born on September 1st, 1911 to her parents the late Arthur West and Fannie Irick West. She was the wife of the late Lee Compton, a homemaker, and a member of the Island Creek Old Regular Baptist Church. Along with her husband and parents, Iva was preceded in death by two sons, Fletcher L. Compton and Kenneth W. Compton. Iva is survived by two sons, Larry Compton and Ronald Compton both of Pikeville, one brother, Carl West of Pikeville, nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, two great-great Grandchildren and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Sunday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Monday 1/11/2010 at 11a.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Glenn Hall and others officiating. The burial will follow in the Johnson Memorial Park.
