Paul R. McCoy, age 79 passed away Thursday 12-17-2009 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Paul was born on January 28th, 1930 to his parents the late Rex Calvin McCoy and Truda Williams McCoy. Paul was the husband of Janene McCoy, self employed owner of J & M Furniture, and a member of the Shelbiana United Methodist Church. He also served his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force, and was a member of Johns Creek D.A.V. Chapter 166, a shriner member of El Hasa Temple, Honorable Order of Ky Colonels, Scottish Rite 32 KCCH Valley of Covington, Royal Order of Scotland, York Rite Mason Chapter 133 Council 96, The Eastern Star Anna O. Young chapter 28, Thomas C. Cecil Lodge 375, past district grand master district #38, past grand pursuiant Grand Lodge of KY, life member of Widows & Orphans Masonic Home of Ky, Makay Scottish clan Society of North America, Independant Order of Odd Fellows #294. Along with his parents, Paul was preceded in death by one brother, Sam McCoy, one twin sister, Judith Bowling. Along with his wife, Paul is survived by one son, Ronney (Becky) McCoy of Pikeville, two daughters, Bridgett McCoy (John) Nicholson of New Port Richey, fl., Holly McCoy (Jerry) Johnson of Frankfort, Ky., three grandchildren, Jessica McCoy, Samantha McCoy, Katie Wiard, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Friday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Masonic services will be Saturday at 6:30p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Sunday 12-20-2009 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Kaminski Robinson officiating. The burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
