Ruth J. Mullins

Ruth J. Mullins age 81 passed away Tuesday Dec. 15, 2009 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Ruth was born on March 29, 1928 to her parents the late Hiram F. Johnson and Mary Phipps Johnson. She was a nurse aide at Golden Years Rest Home and a believer of the Freewill Baptist Faith. Along with her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by one son, Avery Mullins, three brothers, and two sisters. Ruth is survived by one daughter Patsy Collier of McRoberts, two sons, Robert (Bobby) Mullins of McRoberts, Dempsey Mullins of McRoberts, one brother, Leonard Johnson of McRoberts, one sister, Ruby Branham of McRoberts, fourteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday at 6p.m. at the New Freedom Worship Center in Jenkins. Special services will be Wednesday and Thursday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Friday 12-18-2009 at 11a.m. at the New Freedom Worship Center with Danny Quillen officiating. The burial will follow in the Johnson Family Cemetery at McRoberts, Ky.
