Fannie T. Smith

Fannie T. Smith age 76 passed away Saturday 12-5-2009 at her home. Fannie was born on June 10th, 1933 to her parents the late Galileo (Lee) Thompson and Annie Charles Thompson. She was the wife of the late George W. Smith, a homemaker, and a member of the Church of Christ. Along with her husband and parents, Fannie was preceded in death by two daughters, Geraldine Smith and Patty Gene Smith, one brother, William Thompson, and one sister Laura Parrish. Fannie is survived by four sons, George Smith Jr. of Palatine, Illinois, Carl E. Smith of Marrowbone, Ky., Donald L. Smith of Pikeville, Paul D. Smith of Marrowbone, Ky., four daughters, Connie S. Anderson of Gravette, Arkansas, Marlene Hall of Island Creek, Ky., Bobbie A. Vanover of Morris Hill, Indiana, Rita F. Sexton of Pound, Va., one sister, Garnett Snodgrass of Huntington, Indiana, seventeen grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Monday 12-7-2009 at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Wednesday 12-9-2009 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Shane Lockard officiating. The burial will follow in the McCoy Cemetery at Pikeville.
