Eliza Elkins

Eliza Forestine Elkins age 63 passed away Sunday, April 26th, 2009 at her home. Eliza was born on May 11th, 1945 to her parents the late Forester Vanover and Ruby Helen Vanover. She was the wife of Harvey Gene Elkins, a homemaker, and a member of the Burdine Freewill Baptist Church. Along with her parents, Eliza was preceded in death by one son, William Elkins, two sisters, Charlotte Baldwin and Margaret Chiarizia. Along with her husband, Eliza is survived by two sons, Joseph Daniel Wall of Jenkins, Ky., Roger Dale Johnson of Jenkins, Ky., four daughters, Donna Kay Sehorne of Lexington, Ky., Dianna Louise Ratliff of Shelby Gap, Ky., Rhonda Jean Kennedy of Jenkins, Ky., Jolene Elkins of Jenkins, Ky., two brothers, Joseph Vanover of Montague, Ca., Wayne Mullins of Lorrain, Ohio, one sister, Rosa Reed of Lorrain, Ohio, nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild, host of loving nieces, nephews, and church family. Visitation will be Monday at 6p.m. at Burdine Freewill Baptist Church. The funeral will be Wednesday, 4-29-2009 at 11a.m. at the Burdine Freewill Baptist Church with Benny McCall and Teddy Tackett officiating. The burial will follow in the Vanover Cemetery.
