Verlin McCoy age 67 passed away Friday March 5th, 2010 at the South Williamson A.R.H. Hospital. Verlin was born on March 3rd, 1943 to his parents the late Fon McCoy Sr. and Cora Mae Sullivan McCoy. He was the husband of Betty Jane Taylor McCoy, a retired coal operator, and a member of the Jesus Tabernacle Church. Along with his parents, Verlin was preceded in death by one daughter, Arithann McCoy, and two sisters, Leona Slone, and Flora Evans. Along with his wife, Verlin is survived by five sons, Verlin (Phoebe) McCoy Jr. of Mooresburg, Tn., Melvin (Vicky) McCoy of Freeburn, Ky., Vinten McCoy and Shelia Meade of Phyllis, Ky., Luke (Versie) McCoy of Phelps, Ky., Verlin Lee Sullivan of Pikeville, Ky., three daughters, Elaine (Leon) Blankenship of Stopover, Ky., Darlene (Bill) Morton of Regina, Ky., Venisa (Roy) Dotson of Phelps, Ky., four brothers, Sherman (Flora Mae) McCoy of Beattyville, Ky., Kennis (Linda) McCoy of Freeburn, Ky., Hobert (Libby) McCoy of Freeburn, Ky., Fon Jr. (Sandra) McCoy of Freeburn, Ky., one sister, Pearlene Taylor of Scottsville, Ky., fourteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Sunday at 6p.m.at the Cornerstone Apostalic Church at Jamboree, Ky. The funeral will be Tuesday 3-9-2010 at 1p.m. at the Cornerstone Apostalic Church at Jamboree with Richard McKinney and Charles Meeks officiating. The burial will follow in the Dotson Cemetery.
