Richard Allan Night Hawk Riggs

Richard Allan "Night Hawk" Riggs, 57 passed away Friday, November 6th, 2009 at Pikeville Medical Center. He was born May 11, 1952 to the late Gay Riggs Jr. and Dorothea Brown Riggs. He was a coal miner for AEP Coal Company and a proud Native American. He was preceded in death by one son, Carl J Riggs. He was survived by his wife, Dalphine Burke Riggs, one son, Lyle T Riggs of Bunn Level, NC, and one daughter, Dana Marie Tirado of San Diego, CA. He also leaves behind three brothers, Ed Riggs, Gary Riggs, and Nathan Riggs, all of Richmond, MI, and one sister, Sherry Martin of Marysville, MI. Richard is survived by five grandchildren, Kaitlyn Riggs, Jacob Riggs, Mariabella Tirado, Victor Tirado, and Erik Tirado, along with a loving host of family and friends. Visitation will be at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home after 6 P.M. Wednesday, November 11, 2009. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 A.M. at Lucas and Son Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Burke Cemetery in Beefhide, KY.
