Virginia Mae Damron age 80 passed away Thursday March 11th, 2010 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Virginia was born on February 11th, 1930 to her parents the late Mid Tackett and Willie Black Tackett. She was the wife of the late Charles H. Damron, a homemaker, and a member of the Pilgrim's Prayer Old Regular Baptist Church. Along with her husband and parents, Virginia was preceded in death by one infant son and one infant daughter. Virginia is survived by two sons, Jackie (Joyce) Damron of Knoxville, Tn., Randy (Donna) Damron of Little Robinson Creek, Diana (Thomas Gene) Little of Little Robinson Creek, one sister, Wanda Osborne of Paintsville, Ky., four brothers, Hershel Tackett of Columbus, Ohio, Homer Tackett of Columbus, Ohio, Dayton Tackett of Warsaw, Indiana, Lonnie Tackett of Columbus, Ohio, four grandchildren, Katrina, Stephanie, Austin, and Shawn, three great-grandchildren, Christopher, Keaton, and Emily, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Friday at 6 p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Sunday 3-14-2010 at 11a.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Darryl Newsome and Clyde Cure officiating. The burial will follow in the Tackett Cemetery at Little Robinson Creek.
