Mary Sue Collins

Mary Sue Compton Collins, age 72, passed away Thursday, October 28th, 2010 at her home. Mary was born on June 5th, 1938 to her parents the late Wilburn Compton and Cordelia Hopkins Compton. She was the wife of Charles Collins, a homemaker, and a member of the Old Regular Baptist Church. Along with her husband, Mary is survived by one daughter, Patsy Collins of Lexington, Ky., three sisters, Glema Franklin of Pikeville, Ky., Reba Kinney of Jackson, Mi., Minda Lou Mitchell of Pikeville, Ky., two brothers, Jack D. Compton of Pikeville, Kyle Dean Compton of Pikeville, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Friday and Saturday at 6p.m. at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home. Special services will be Friday and Saturday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Sunday, Oct. 31st, 2010 at 11a.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral HOme with Teddy Honaker, Mike Justice, Charles Nitchie, Ben Little, Kermit Wright, Carson Wright and others officiating. The burial will follow in the Potter Cemetery at Yeager.
