Donald Wright

Donald Wright, 71, of Dorton, KY, passed away May 15, 2009 at the Pikeville Medical Center. He was born December 13, 1937 to the late Wesley and Rachael Wright. He was preceeded in death by two sisters, Betty Cook and Doris Belcher. He was a retired coal miner of Dorton Coal Company and of the Baptist faith. Surviving Donald is his wife, Rosetta, of Dorton, KY, two sons, John Wesley Wright of Dorton, KY, Kevin Wright of Wise, VA, and one daughter, Kim Wright McCoy of Wise, VA. Donald also leaves behind two brothers, David Wright and Jerry Wright, both of Dorton, KY, and one sister, Lorraine Elswick of Bean Station, TN and 5 grandchildren. Visitation will be after 6 P.M. on Saturday, May 16th with special services at 7 P.M. at Lucas and Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 17th at 1 P.M. Burial will follow at the Wright Cemetery in Dorton, KY.
