Roger Lester

Roger Lester, 65, of Pikeville, KY passed away July 5, 2009 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Roger was born June 18, 1944 to the late Marie Deskins Lester and John Riley Lester. He was a member of the Holiness Church. He was preceded in death by one son, Roger Raymond Lester, one brother, two sisters, and one grandchild. Surviving Roger was his wife, Glenna Maynard Lester, three sons, Danny Ray Lester of Pikeville, KY, Sam Lester of PA, and Joey Meade of Georgetown. Also surviving him is three daughters Velvia Lester of OH, Tonya Masters of OH, and Esta Bartosiewicz of PA. He also leaves behind four sisters Grace Seaman of AZ, Hannah Stepp of OH, Zelma Ferrell of OH, and June Buchanan of IL, and three brothers, Roy Vance of OH, Walton Lester of OH, and Clinton Lester of OH, along with eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Visitation will be 6-9 PM Tuesday July 7, 2009 at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 1 PM Wednesday at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home.
