Reable Gay Bevins

Reable Gay Bevins, age 76, of Powell's Creek, passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2008, at the U.K. Medical Center. She was born on December 23, 1931, the daughter of the late Adam and Alpha Gibson Owens. In addition to parents she was also preceded in death by one sister, Wanda Looney, by one granddaughter, Rhonda Jean Hall, and by one grandson, Michael Allen Kilgore. Reable was a homemaker and had been a member of the Little Pond Old Regular Baptist Church of 46 years. She is survived by her husband Arlie Bevins, by two daughters, Brenda (Billy Joe) Kilgore and Wilma Jean (Ronnie Dean) Hall of Pikeville, by one son Arlie Dean (Peggy Sue) Bevins of Pikeville, by two brothers, Abe Owens of Massachusetts and Onsby Owens of West Virginia, by two sisters, Georgia Wellman of Dandridge, TN and Gertrude Bevins of Allen, KY, by seven grandchildren, Veronica Lynn, David, Cindy, Marsha, Crystal, Brandy and Randy, and by five great-grandchildren, Marc, Devin, Alexis, Nicki and Braxton. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30, 2008, after 6 p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will held on Friday at 12 Noon at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Jimmy Dale Sanders, Curtis Carroll, Steve Coleman, Randy Wellman & others. Burial will follow in the Wilson Cemetery at Draffin. Special services will be held on Wednesday and Thursday evenings at 7 p.m.
