Bruce Wilson Anderson

Bruce Anderson, 78, of Phyllis, KY passed away Sunday June 7, 2009 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Bruce was born in Pike County on February 18, 1931 to the late Gernia and Carl Anderson. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Kenneth, J.D., Ralph, and Harold Gene Anderson and also by one sister, Helen Short. Bruce leaves behind one son, Clifford Eugene Anderson and one daughter, Chris Ann (Robert) Church both of Phyllis, KY. He also leaves two brothers, Raymond Anderson of Phyllis, KY and Buster Anderson of Phyllis, KY and six sisters, Nell Ruth Justice of Christianburg, VA, Linda Mowery of St. George, UT, Judy Thomas of Houston, TX, Pauline Fields of Las Vegas, NE, June Grace of Las Vegas, NE, and Patty Smith of Jeffersonville, KY. He leaves behind five grandchildren, Bradley Church, Benji Anderson, Craig Anderson, Crystal Varney, and Brandon Anderson, along with 2 great grandchildren, Santana Marie Anderson and Mason Tyler Anderson. Bruce is also survived by four very special friends, Brian Keith Pinion, Luly Charles, Samantha Lucas, and Willie Williamson. Visitation for Mr. Anderson will be Monday June 9, 2009 at 6 PM at the Phyllis Church of Christ. Funeral services will be Wednesday June 10, 2009 at 1 PM at the Phyllis Church of Christ.
