Kenneth Wayne Holbrook

Kenneth Wayne Holbrook age 59, of Island Creek, passed away Tuesday, September 8th, 2009 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Kenneth was born on May 8th, 1950 to his parents Stella Mae Burke Holbrook and the late William B. Holbrook. Kenneth was a retired well operator for Ky W.Va Gas Company. Along with his father, Kenneth was preceded in death by one brother, Ellis Holbrook, and three sisters, Draxie Bailey, Mary Marie Holbrook, and Judith Ann Phillips. Along with his mother, Kenneth is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Denice James of Pikeville, Judith Marie Mullins of Virgie, one son, Kenneth Wayne Holbrook II of Pikeville, four brothers, Edward Holbrook of Indiana, Earl Holbrook of Pikeville, William B. Holbrook Jr. of Michigan, John Holbrook of Michigan, three sisters, Betty Ruth Hobbs, Carolyn Gilliam, and Cathy Harville all of Pikeville, five grandchildren, Zachary Tyler Holbrook, Jessica Alexandria Robinson, Matthew Dalton James, Savannah Mae Holbrook, Heather Renee Holbrook, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Thursday at 6p.m. at the Island Creek Old Regular Baptist Church. The funeral will be Saturday 9-12-2009 at 12 noon at the Island Creek Old Regular Baptist Church with Leonard Hamilton and others officiating. The burial will follow in the Holbrook Family Cemetery at Island Creek.
