Ardie Katherine Bryant

     Ardie Katherine Bryant, age 92, passed away Monday, December 2, 2024 at her home.  Katherine was born on Sept. 28, 1932 to her parents the late Waldon Hamilton and Katie Newsome Hamilton.  She was the wife of the late Jayson Marvin Bryant, a retired cook for Virgie High School, homemaker, and a member of the Bethleham Old Regular Baptist Church.  She was a member of the Old Regular Baptist for over 61 years.

     Along with her husband and parents, Katherine was preceded in death by three children:  Louverla Adams, John Lee Bryant, Lurlie Jean Hall, a son in law:  Roy Lee Adams, two grandsons: Tracy Warren Bryant and Jason Todd Bryant, four brothers:  Arnold, Abel, Avorn, and Johnny Hamilton, and two sisters, Daphene Johnson and Alma Keathley.

     Katherine is survived by one son, Jayson Jr. Bryant, one daughter, Alverta Dyke, five grandsons she raised as children, Ronald (Rhonda) Adams, Daniel (Ellen) Adams, Joseph Adams, Jason (Jeannie) Adams, Roy Dewayne (Priscilla) Adams, a daughter in law:  Justine Bryant, one son in law:  David Hall, one brother, James (Betty) Hamilton, 18 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, twelve great great grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends.

     Visitation will be Wednesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home.  Church services will be Wednesday and Thursday at 7p.m.  The funeral will be Friday at 12 Noon at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Roger Justice and other Old Regular Baptist Ministers officiating.  Burial will follow in the Amos Newsom Cemetery at Robinson Creek, Ky.
