Bethel Jane Coleman

     Bethel Jane Coleman, age 89, passed away Sunday, Nov. 3, 2024 at her home.  Bethel was born on August 6, 1935 to her parents the late Julius Link Worrix and Louvina Thacker Worrix.  She was the wife of Sammy Coleman, a retired housekeeper for Community Trust Bank, and a believer of the Old Regular Baptist Faith.

     Along with her parents, Bethel was preceded in death by one infant son, Baby Coleman, three brothers, Johnny Worrix, Julius Worrix, and William Worrix, and three sisters, Betty, Ethel, and Becky.

     Along with her husband, Bethel is survived by two daughters, Sandra Reed, Sarah Coleman, one sister, Josie Thacker, four grandchildren, William, Kurtis, Andrea, and Chasity, eight great grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends.

     Visitation will be Tuesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home.  Church services will be Tuesday and Wednesday at 7p.m.  The funeral will be Thursday, Nov. 7, 2024 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Doug Thompson, Paul Huffman, and others officiating.  Burial will follow in the Coleman Cemetery at Lower Pompey.
