Bethel Thacker

Bethel Slone Thacker, age 78, of Red Creek, passed away Thursday, June 28, 2018 at her home.  Bethel was born on July 4, 1939 to her parents the late Leonard Slone and Martha Thacker Slone.  She was the wife of the late Arnold Thacker, a homemaker, and a believer of the Baptist Faith.     Along with her husband and parents, Bethel was preceded in death by one daughter, Wanda Coleman, one son, Dallas Thacker, one granddaughter, Ellisa Thacker, two brothers, and ten sisters.     Bethel is survived by three sons, Creed Thacker, Leonard Greg (Patsy) Thacker, Arnold Joey (Helen) Thacker, one daughter, Anita (Jason) Sword, one brother, Charles Curt Slone, eight grandchildren, Michelle Coleman, Donna Beth Coleman, Steven Thacker, Brittany Causey, Nicholas Thacker, Christopher (C.J.) Thacker, Jacob Sword, Jayden Sword, ten great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, and a host of loving family and friends.     Visitation will be Saturday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home.  The funeral will be Sunday, July 1, 2018 at 12 noon at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Jimmy Jack Adkins, Jimmy Reed Adkins, and Dolph Kelly officiating.   Burial will follow in the Dallas Thacker Memorial Cemetery at Red Creek.
