Betty Sue Rowe Bentley, Born May 27, 1944, and received her heavenly wings July 4, 2024. Proceeded in death by her parents, James Rowe and Delphia Adkins Rowe. Born on Greasy Creek, KY, Betty was also preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, James Irvin Bentley, great granddaughter, Skylar Jade Adkins, and special grandma Nervie Rowe who had a great influence on Betty's life and two infant brothers, Virgil Gene Rowe and Ronald Lee Rowe.
Survivors are two sons, Robin Bentley of Peters Branch, Robinson Creek, and Kent Douglas Bentley of Columbus, Ohio, two daughters, Tammy Michelle (Rick) Mullins of Justiceville, Ky., Angela Delphia Tackett of Upper Chloe Road Pikeville, Seven Grandchildren, Ashley, James, Derrick, Tyler, Candus, Aurora, and Andrea, Nine great grandchildren, one sister, Loisteen (Rowe) Caudill Wright, three brothers, Leon (Sondra) Rowe, Jim (Barb) Rowe, Blake (Jill) Rowe.
Betty was a Chiristian for 56 years and was a member of Grace Baptist Church of Shelbiana, Ky.,
Betty told her family she was going to Heaven not to worry about her. Everyone please be in prayers for her family. Our lives will never be the same. We will always love and miss Betty Bentley.
A special thank you to her granddaughter, Ashley Tackett for leaving her home and staying with Betty until her passing.
Visitation will be Monday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Monday and Tuesday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at 1 P.M. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Josh Howell officiating. Burial will follow in Alvin Bentley Cemetery at Bad Fork of Rockhouse.
