Bobby Thacker

    Bobby Thacker age 72, passed away Friday December 13, 2024, at his home.  Bobby was born May 29, 1952, to the late Otis and Minnie Collins Thacker.  He was the husband of Mittie Thacker, a retired coal miner and a Deacon of Community Church.  

    Besides his parents and wife, Bobby was preceded in death by one daughter, Penny Thacker, one grandson, Charles Bobby Thacker, three brothers, Grennie Thacker, Charles Gary Thacker, Larry Dean Thacker, two sisters, Shirley Haynie, and Kathy Thacker.

    Bobby is survived by one son, Charles (Sara Hatch) Thacker, two brothers, Roy (Ann) Thacker, Otis (Ada Fay) Thacker Jr., three sisters Patricia Margie Bevins, Alice Thacker, Brenda Adkins, two step daughters, Rhonda Combs and Wednesday Combs, two stepsons, Ronald Combs and David Combs,  four grandchildren, Cherish (Glen Dalton Coleman) Thacker, Charley Dawn Thacker, Aubrey Grace Thacker, Malachi Ray Thacker, one great grandchild, Kalani Rose "Papaw's Rosebud" Coleman and a host of loving family and friends.  

    Visitation will be Sunday, December 15, 2024, and Monday December 16, 2024, beginning at 6:00 PM with church services beginning at 7:00 PM nightly at Lucas and Son Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Lucas and Son Funeral Home with Mark Justice, James Hill and Ronnie Lowe officiating.  Burial will follow at Thacker's Cemetery, Upper Pompey Road.
