Brenda Hobbs

Brenda K. Adkins Hobbs, age 76, passed away Thursday, June 15, 2023 at her home. Brenda was born on March 21, 1947 to her parents the late Edgel Adkins and Cleo Coleman Adkins. She was the wife of Charles C. Hobbs, a retired school teacher for city colleges of Chicago and she also taught on several military bases. Brenda was a member of Poor Bottom Freewill Baptist Church. Along with her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by one brother, Dennis R. Adkins. Along with her husband, Brenda is survived by one son, David D. Hobbs, like a son, Eli Stevens, one brother, Jimmy D. Adkins, and a host of loving family and friends who will miss her dearly. Visitation will be Saturday and Sunday at 6p.m. at the Poor Bottom Freewill Baptist Church. Church services will be Saturday and Sunday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Monday June 19, 2023 at 12 Noon at Poor Bottom Freewill Baptist Church with Richard Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in the Adkins Family Cemetery at Poor Bottom.
