Buren Pugh

Buren Pugh, age 93, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at his home. Buren was born on May 8, 1927 to his parents the late late Ed Pugh and Stella Justice Pugh. He was the husband of the late Lettie Marie Hampton Pugh. He was a retired carpenter and outside coal foreman, and he was also a member of the Church of Christ. Along with his wife and parents, Buren was preceded in death by one son, Jerry Lynn Pugh, and five brothers. Buren is survived by six children, Wanda Pugh Bartley, Michael Pugh, Patricia Ann (Darold) Pugh Slone, James Edward (Kathleen) Pugh, Jeffrey Lane (Sandra) Pugh, Lettie Maxine (Terry) Gibson, four brothers, Mickey Pugh, Charles Pugh, Mancy Pugh, Gary Pugh, six sisters, Glenna May Goff, Judy Coleman, Connie Meadows, Linda Childers, Kathy Ratliff, and Rhonda Combs, thirteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. Visitation will be Saturday at 4p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Saturday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Sunday, July 5, 2020 at 2p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Buddy Ford and Chester Varney officiating. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
