Buster (Buck) Brown Thacker, age 79, of Red Creek, passed away on April 27, 2019, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Buck was born in Pike County, Ky, at Red Creek on November 8, 1939, to his parents the late Charlie Thacker and Ida Thacker Tackett. Buster was the husband of Cleo Coleman Thacker. Buster was a member of the Red Creek Church of Christ and was a disabled coalminer. Buster was preceded in death by his parents, one infant son, Ken Edgar Thacker, two sisters, Sylvia James and Pebble Tucker, five brothers, Normal Thacker, Sandy Thacker, Floyd Thacker, Curtis Thacker and Estill Thacker. Buster is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Cleo of 54 years (Married on July 18, 1964). Buster is also survived by one daughter, Angela (Randall) Wellman, one son, Buck Allen Thacker, one sister, Patty (Bill) Justice. Survived by his grandchildren, Timothy (Megan) Thacker, Courtney (Mikey) Harley, Alyssa Phillips, four great grandchildren, Timber Thacker, Owen Harley, Reaghan Thacker, Rayleigh Thacker, nieces and nephews and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Sunday, April 28, 2019, 7:00PM at the Shelby Valley Church of Christ, with services at 7:30PM. Funeral will be Monday, April 29, 2019, 1:00PM at the Shelby Valley Church of Christ with Shelby Valley Church of Christ Ministers officiating. Burial will follow in the Thacker Cemetery, at Red Creek.
