Campbell Akers

Campbell William Akers, age 73, passed away Sunday, Feb.19, 2023 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Campbell was born on April 24, 1949 to his parents the late Doc Campbell Akers and Polly Akers Akers. Along with his parents, Campbell was preceded in death by one sister, Gladys Bradley. Campbell is survived by his beloved pet, Major, seven brothers and sisters, Eugene Akers, Monroe Akers, Ermil Akers, Bertha Kidd, Lockie Swiney, Pauline Kidd, Robert Dean Akers, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Wednesday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Thursday, Feb. 23, 2023 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Jason Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Akers Cemetery at Left fork Island Creek.
