Carl Phillips

Carl Phillips Jr., age 77, passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at his home of Wolfpen Branch of Pikeville. Carl was born on June 27, 1943 to his parents Lorraine Cox Phillips and the late Carl Phillips Sr. He was the husband of Martha Ann Cole Phillips, a retired truck driver, and a Deacon/Sunday School teacher at Stone Coal Freewill Baptist Church. Along with his father, Carl was preceded in death by one sister, Minnie Elizabeth Phillips, and one son in law, Keith Harris. Along with his wife and mother, Carl is survived by two daughters, Belinda (Jeff) Wagner, Carla Harris (Terry) Billiter, one sister Mary Phillips Cottrell, five grandchildren, Kristin (Jonathan) Coleman, Brandon (Betty) Wagner, Sheena (Alex) Fox, Dalton Harris, Whitney (Jon) Blackburn, seven great grandchildren, Destiny, Alexis, Jonah, Jaxon, Jared, Mia, Zoey, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Thursday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Thursday and Friday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Tommy Webb and Leslie Tackett officiating. Burial will follow in the Davidson Memorial Garden at Ivel, Ky.
