Carmel Dean Charles

    Carmel Dean Charles, age 65, passed away Monday, March 18, 2024 at the Pikeville Medical Center.  Carmel was born on Sept. 19, 1958 to his parents the late Carmel Charles and Irene Holloway Charles.  He was a retired employee from the State.  
     Along with his parents, Carmel was preceded in death by one brother, George Charles. 
     Carmel is survived by one daughter, Deanna Compton, four grandchildren, Kyle Douglas Compton, Anna Elizabeth Compton, Megan Elise Compton, and Tyler Ryan Johnson, two brothers, Jimmy Charles, Robert Charles, three sisters, Betty (Roger) Staton, Jean (Jerry) Adkins, Joyce Ratliff, and a host of loving family and friends.
     Visitation will be Saturday at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home.  The funeral will be Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 2 P.M. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Jerry Adkins and Robert Charles officiating.  Burial will follow in the Justice Kinder Cemetery at Upper Chloe.
