Catherine Bentley

     Catherine Janilee "Jan" Bentley, passed from this life on Feb. 11, 2024 after almost seven weeks of Pikeville Hospital battling pneumonia by COPD and chronic asthma.

    She is preceded in death by her husband, Norman Bentley, her parents and all of her siblings.  she would have been 86 on Feb. 16th.

    She is survived by her daughter, Wendy Bentley, their two dogs Bandit and Penelope, and a host of loving family and friends.

    When she was able she attended Marshall's Branch Worship Center and Burdine Freewill Baptist Church.  Before her breathing became an issue she loved to help the ladies auxillary at fried pie and bake sales.

    She had a heart for people and always had a smile and kind words.  She enjoyed being out where people were at the park, they visited coal city, coffee in Jenkins, or at Jenkins Middle High School.  She was known and loved by many and she will be missed.

     A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
