Charles E. Brooks

Charles E. Brooks, age 78, passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Charles was born on January 30, 1943 to his parents the late John Lee Brooks and Eula Clevinger Brooks. He was the husband of Eva Adkins Brooks, a retired coal miner, and a member of the Cornerstone Christian Church. He also served his country honorably in the United States Army during Vietnam War. Along with his parents, Charles was preceded in death by one brother and one sister. Along with his wife, Charles is survived by one son, Charles T. (Tracy) Brooks, one daughter, Tammy R. (Jared) Brooks, five grandchildren, Tyler Deskins, Charla Brooks, Bradly Brooks, Chase Brooks, Jase Brooks, four great grandchildren, Teagan Reed, Tinsley Reed, Addison Ray, Quinn Deskins, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Friday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home Church services will be Saturday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Sunday, July 11, 2021 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Paul Potter officiating. Burial will follow in the Bent Ridge Cemetery at Meta, Ky.
