Christine Lucas

Christine Lucas, age 75, of Jenkins, Ky, passed away Sunday, August 5, 2018, at the Pikeville Medical Center. Christine was born on September 20, 1942 to her parents the late Victor Bartley and Gertrude Rose Bartley.  Christine was a homemaker,  business owner, retired florist, a member of the Eastern Star, Chapter of the Lonesome Pine of Jenkins, Ky and a member of the Hylton Freewill Baptist Church.  Christine was the wife of the late Herman Lucas.Christine was preceded in death by her parents and her husband and one daughter Christa Gaye Lucas. She was preceded in death by one brother, Billy Bartley and one sister, Judy Slone.Christine is survived by one son, H. Michael Lucas (Judi), one daughter, Michelle L. Wright (Tim) and one sister Wilma Kelly.Christine is survived by five grandchildren and three great grandchildren and a host of loving family and friends.Visitation will be Monday, August 6, 2018,  6:00 PM, at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home with church services at 7:00 PM.Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 7, 2018 , 1:00 PM at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home with Robert Bartley, Donnie Bryant and Van Swindall officiating. Burial will follow in the Lucas Family Cemetery at Big Shelby Creek Road.
