Clinard Ermel Bevins

    Clinard Ermel Bevins, age 88, of Phyllis, Kentucky went to his heavenly reward on November 23, 2024. He was born on November 14, 1936, to Clinard & Mertie Bevins of Phyllis, Kentucky. 

    He is survived by his daughters Teresa Bevins of Winchester, Kentucky, Leshia (Greg) Newsome of Virgie, Kentucky, Daphene (Ricky) Boyd of Bristol, Tennessee, Marquita Cottle of Pikeville, Kentucky, Krystal (Rusty) Tackett of Pikeville, Kentucky, & his son, Christopher (Jennifer) Bevins of Marianna Florida. He was blessed with 15 grandchildren: Tyler Newsome, Keaton Newsome, Katie (Travis) Diana, Jeremy Stacy, Wyatt Cottle, Isaac Riffe, Noah Riffe, Terrah Justice, Chad (Amber) Griffey, Chandler (Keyla) Griffey, Cassandra (Nathan)Laney, Michael Bates, Landon Bates, Caleb Bates & Ivy Bates and fifteen great-grandchildren:  Lyla Rose Diana, Gracie Justice, Lainey Justice, Emi Justice, William Griffey, Kameron Griffey, Madison Griffey, Zoey Griffey, Taitley Griffey, Adriannah Griffey, Vanessa Griffey, Conner Griffey, Terrah Keen, Alaina Laney, & Lucas Laney. 

    He was preceded in death by his wife of 32 years, Eloise Bevins; an infant son, Richard Bevins; daughter, Vanessa Bentley; son-in-law, Douglas Cottle; infant grandson, Keaton Chandler Newsome; his mother and father, Clinard and Mertie Bevins; sisters, Lois Williamson and Joyce Slone; and brothers, Carmel Bevins, Jimmy Bevins, Clifford Bevins, Everett Bevins, and Jesse Vernon Bevins. 

    Visitation will be Monday, November 25, 2024, and Tuesday November 26, 2024 from 6 to 9 pm.  The funeral services will be on Wednesday,November 27th  at 1 PM  at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home with Greg Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at the Reynolds Family Cemetery at Phyllis.
