Danny Chester Belcher, age 79, passed away Thursday, Feb. 22, 2024 at the U.K. Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington, Ky. Danny was born on January 1, 1945 to his parents the late Claude Marvin Belcher and Georgia Potter Belcher. He was the husband of the late Lois Reynolds Belcher, a retired guidance counselor for the Pike County Board of Education, and a member of the Long Fork Freewill Baptist Church. Danny was a minister for over 45 years.
Along with his wife and parents, Danny was preceded in death by one sister, Shirley Smith.
Danny is survived by one son, Johnny Marvin (Mary) Belcher, one granddaughter, Sarah Elizabeth Belcher, brother in law: Graham Smith, brother in law, Jeff (Kathy) Reynolds, host of loving nieces, nephews, and beloved family and friends who will miss him dearly.
Visitation will be Saturday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Saturday at 7p.m. with Jerry Damron and Goble Burke officiating. Church services will be Sunday night at 7p.m. with Greg White and Ryan Johnson officiating. The funeral will be Monday, Feb. 26, 2024 at 11 A.M. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Greg White and Ryan Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Johnson Memorial Park.
