Darlene Mullins Hoffer, age 71, passed away Thursday, January 5, 2023 at the Pikeville Medical Center. She was born on November 7, 1951 to her parents the late Leonard Crockett "Chief" Mullins and Pauline Addington Mullins. She was the wife of the late David Michael "Joe" Hoffer, retired from 17 years as instructional assistant for special education at Feds Creek Elementary, and she was also a member of the Elkhorn City Baptist Church. Along with her husband and parents, Darlene was preceded in death by one daughter, Anissa Regina Hoffer, and one sister, Sheila Modene Salyers. Darlene is survived by two brothers, Franklin Leonard (Charlotte) Mullins, Kenneth Harold "Smiley" (Brenda) Mullins, one sister, Crecia Lou (Roger) Rose, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and a host of family and friends that loved her dearly. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her. Visitation will be Tuesday, at 12 Noon at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will begin at 1 P.M. on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 with Richard Green and Jason Johnson officiating. Entombment will follow in the Annie E. Young Mausoleum.
