Darlene Hopkins

Darlene Hopkins, age 60,passed away Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Darlene was born on Sept. 9, 1960 to her parents the late Harrison Hayes and Irene Anderson Hayes. She was the wife of the late Jimmy Hopkins, a homemaker, and a member of the Church of Christ. Along with her husband and parents, Darlene was preceded in death by one daughter, Irene Nicole Hopkins, and one sister, Carol Sue Lamb. Darlene is survived by one daughter, Marlena Campbell, her granddaughter/daughter, Darlene Anita Nicole Ryan Thompson, one brother, Glen Allen Hayes, three sisters, Anita Holifield, Berniece Smith, Patricia Fetters, her best friend, Randall Holifield, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Saturday at 6p.m. at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Sunday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Monday, March 29, 2021 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Dewayne Abshire and Jim Abshire officiating. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery at Shelbiana.
