Don Chapman

     Don Chapman, age 90, passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home.  Don was born on Sept. 6, 1934 to his parents the late Burlin Chapman and Dollie Honaker Chapman.  He was the husband of the late Minnie Mae Anderson Chapman, a retired coal miner, and a member of the Upper Grapevine Church of Christ.

     Along with his wife and parents, Don was preceded in death by five brothers, Ben, Leeman, Rush, Jeff, and Wade Chapman, and two sisters, Nancy Susie Anderson and Lillie Hensley.

     Don is survived by one son, Donald (Beverly) Chapman, one daughter, Brenda (Andy) Hunt, two sisters, Ida Beam, Vada Smith, three grandchildren, Amy (Justin) Hughes, Crystal (Gordon) Varney, Donella (Brian) Stanley, five great grandchildren, Kobe and Brandon Hughes, Larah Stanley, Jordon and Addyson Varney, and a host of loving family and friends.

    Visitation will be Saturday at 6p.m. at the Upper Grapevine Church of Christ.  Church services will be Saturday and Sunday at 7p.m.  The funeral will be Monday, Feb. 3, 2025 at 1 P.M. at the Upper Grapevine Church of Christ with Dewayne Abshire and Jim Abshire and others officiating.  Burial will follow in the Johnson Memorial Park.
