Donnie Joe Keene

Donnie Joe Keene, age 77, passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at the Pikeville Medical Center.  Donnie Joe was born on April 18, 1941 to his parents the late Dewey Keene and Minnie Varney Keene.  He was the husband of the late Wilma Adkins Keene, a retired mechanic and electrician, and a believer of the Baptist Faith.       Along with his wife and parents, Donnie Jo was preceded in death by three brothers, Dewey Junior Taylor, Berkley Keene, Robert Lee Keene, and one sister, Shirley Anderson.    Donnie Joe is survived by one daughter, Sandy Keene of Phyllis, Ky., two sons, Randy Keene of Phyllis, Ky., Ricky Keene of Georgetown, Ky., four brothers, Roger (Agnes) Keene of East Pointe, Florida, Johnny (Peggy) Keene of Emily City, Mi., Gary (Shirley) Keene of Phyllis, Ky., Jerry (Rita) Keene of Phyllis, Ky., two sisters, Betty Weaver and Patricia Keene of Phyllis, KY., two sister in laws Patty Keene and Florence Taylor, two grandchildren, Emily Keene, Jarrod Keene, a host of loving nieces and nephews and family and friends who will miss him dearly.     Visitation will be Wednesday at 6p.m. at the Berean Bible Church.  Church services will be Wednesday and Thursday at 7p.m.  The funeral will be Friday, August 24, 2018 at 1p.m. at the Berean Bible Church with Arnold Adams officiating.  Burial will follow in the Keene Cemetery at Phyllis, Ky.
