Donnie Newsome

Donnie Newsome was born on January 22, 1954 to his parents the late Corbet Newsome and Willys Ray Bowling Newsome. Along with his parents, Donnie was preceded in death by four siblings, Danny Newsome, Anne Newsome, Ron Newsome, and Margie Newsome Johnson. Donnie is survived by one daughter, Crystal (Herber) Garcia, two grandsons, Andres H. Garcia , and Julian D. Garcia, two brothers, Randy (Mischele) Newsome, Corbet Dewayne (Melinda) Newsome, three sisters, Virginia (Richard) Sue Addington, Karen Newsome, Darlene (Ricky) Potter, and a host of loving family and friends. Randy's grandsons, Andres H. Garcia 16 years old , the traits he carries from his grandpa are a love for the musical arts. Andres has been in concert band since the sixth grade playng the tuba and in marching band since seventh grade playing the sosaphone. He loves to sing tenor bass in choir and in the acapella group. He also has a love for animals and is a people person. Very witty and smart. His grandson, Julian D. Garcia 11 years old has the traits of his grandpa of a love for the arts. He can draw anything from memory. He loves music of all different types. He has a deep love for animals. He loves spending his time outdoors and fishing. Julian is very witty and smart also. He loved his grandpa very much and I know Grandpa loved him just as much. He will be greatly missed Memorial service will be Friday, October 22, 2021 at 4p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 7p.m. Friday October 22, 2021 with Antioch Old Regular Baptist Ministers officiating. Jerry Manns, Jerry Kidd, Jeremiah Swiger and James Swiger.
