Dorothy Jean Bryant

Dorothy Jean Bryant age 77, passed away June 23, 2024, at the Pikeville Medical Center. Dorothy was born on November 14, 1946, to the late Ira and Belle Harris Bolden. Dorothy was the wife of the late Chester Bryant.

 Dorothy was a homemaker and a believer in the Baptist faith.

Besides her husband and parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by One daughter, Christy Renee Maynard, Three sisters, Magdalene Bentley, Phoebe Hopkins, and Virginia Bryant, two brothers, Ira Junior Bolden, and Lige Frank Bolden.

Dorothy is survived by Two sons, David Bryant, and Daryl (Rene') Bryant, Two brothers, Dean Bolden, and Richard Bolden, One sister, Marie Matney, Two grandchildren, Brandon Bryant (Delicia), and Courtney Legge (Stephen), Six great-grandchildren, Hayden, Jordyn, Avery, Raelynn, Wesley and Asher.  Two special nieces, LeAnn Wilson, and Jamie Bryant, and a host of loving family and friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday June 25, 2024, at 6:00 PM with services beginning at 7pm at Lucas and Son Funeral Home with Baptist ministers officiating. Funeral services will be held Wednesday June 26, 2024, at 12 Noon at Lucas and Son Funeral Home with Baptist ministers officiating. Burial will follow at the Sam Hall Cemetery at Bear Fork of Robinson creek.
