Douglas Coleman, ag 91, passed away Sunday, Sept. 15, 2019 at his home. Douglas was born on January 27, 1928 to his parents the late Jim Coleman and Virgie Coleman Coleman. He was the husband of Janey Robinson Coleman, a retired coal miner for Bethlehem Steel Coal Company, and a member of the Samaria Old Regular Baptist Church for over 60 years. He also served his country honorably in the United States Army during Korean Conflict. Along with his parents, Douglas was preceded in death by one son, Richard Dale Coleman, and several brothers and sisters. Along with his wife, Douglas is survived by three daughters, Ronda (Rocky) Coleman, Ramona (Carmel Dean) Adkins, Carol (Matt) Tuttle, two sons, Paul Coleman, John (Crystal) Coleman, three brothers, Ival, Ray, and Ellis Coleman, fourteen grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Monday at 6p.m. at the Samaria Old Regular Baptist Church at Wolfpit. Church services will be Monday and Tuesday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2019 at 11a.m. at the Samaria Old Regular Baptist Church with Jimmy Dale Sanders and others officiating. Burial will follow in the Dow Brooks Cemetery at Draffin, Ky. In Lieu of Flowers, Donations can be made to the Samaria Old Regular Baptist Church at Wolfpit.
