Earl Thurman Damron

Earl Thurman Damron, age 67, passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at the Pikeville Medical Center.  Earl was born on Feb. 8, 1952 to his parents the late Harve George Damron and Martha Jane Mullins Damron.  He was a coal miner, a member of the American Legion, and a believer of the Christian Faith.      Along with his parents, Earl was preceded in death by five brothers, George, Albert, Fletcher, John Paul, and James Damron, and three sisters, Janice Sykes, Della Prince, and Peggy Tomlin.     Earl is survived by one brother, Arvel Damron, two sisters, Dorothy Ramey, Mary Velazquez, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, family, and friends.     Visitation will be Thursday at 6p.m. at the Hylton Freewill Baptist Church at Elkhorn Creek.  Church services will be Thursday and Friday at 7p.m.  The funeral will be Saturday, June 15, 2019 at 2p.m. at the Hylton Freewill Baptist Church with Van Swindall and Edgar Sanders officiating.  Burial will follow in the Potter Cemetery at Elkhorn Creek.
