Eddie Mae Baker

Eddie Mae Baker, age 86, passed away Saturday Sept. 25, 2021 in Lexington, Ky. Eddie was born on October 11, 1934 to her parents the late James Gordon and Bertha Woolum Gordon. She was the wife of the late Ruben Baker, a retired nanny, and a member of the Old Elkhorn Old Regular Baptist Church. Along with her husband and parents, Eddie Mae was preceded in death by her first husband, Douglas Garrett, two sons, Paul Anderson and Joseph Baker, two daughters, Norene (Eugene) Vanover, Neva Baker Bentley, one brother, Chester Gordon, and two sisters, Rosa Lee Evans, and Kathleen Simpson. Eddie is survived by two daughters, Aletha Clemons, Phyllis Anderson (Ed) McIntyre, one son Carl (Deborah) Baker, one brother, Jimmy Gordon, nephews: Tim (Sherry) Simpson, Jack Evans, Wayne Evans, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Friday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Friday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 12 noon at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Barry Lucas, Robbie Osborne, Robert Kelly, and others officiating. Burial will follow in the Wright Cemetery at Dorton.
