Edward Farmer, age 57, passed away Monday, April 1, 2019 at his home. Edward was born on April 19, 1961 to his parents Eloise Thacker Farmer and the late Edward R. Farmer. Edward was the husband of Laurie Mae Epling Farmer, a warehouse supervisor for Pepsi Bottling Company, formerly a Pikeville City Police Officer, a Ky Colonel, and a member of the Sulpher Springs Freewill Baptist Church at Elkhorn City, Ky. Along with his wife and mother, Edward is survived by one son, Wesley Edward Farmer, two sisters, Rita (Spike) Hurley, Donna (Chad) Casey, his beloved dog, Daisy, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, family and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Wednesday and Thursday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Friday, April 5, 2019 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Terry Gibson and Donnie Hall officiating. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
