 Emogene Hampton, age 84, of Virgie, Ky., passed away Friday, January 12, 2024 at her home on Little Robinson Creek of Virgie.

Emogene was born in Pike County, Ky. to her parents the late Elzie Holland, and Gertrude "Newsome" Holland.

Emogene was the wife of the late Eugene Hampton. She was a homemaker and of the Christian Faith.  

Emogene was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a brother, Burton Holland, two sisters, Lois Ann Roberts and Anna Marie Holland, a brother-in-law, James Rasnick.

She is survived by three sons, Jimmy Hampton, Jackie Hampton, Johnny Hampton, and a daughter, Debra (Gary) Ray.

She is survived by a brother, Elzie Lee Holland, two sisters, Ruby Holland Rasnick, Patricia Bowling, two grandchildren, William Jess Ray (Whitney), James "J.J. Philo, two great grandchildren, Harper Grace Ray, Conner Baylor Ray and a host of loving family and friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday January 16, 2024, at 6:00 PM at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home with services at 7p.m. on Tuesday night.

Funeral will be Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at 12:00 Noon at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home with Donnie Hall and Nathan Little officiating.

Burial will be at the Robb Newsome Cemetery located at Little Robinson Creek, Virgie, Ky.
