Ervin Jay Smallwood

Ervin Jay Smallwood, age 45, passed away Sunday, November 12, 2023 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Jay was born on October 6, 1978 tohis parents the late Calep Smallwood and Glema Oney Smallwood. He was a handy man, worked in general labor, and a believer of the Baptist Faith. Along with his parents, Jay was preceded in death by one brother, David Wayne Sellards. Jay is survived by one son, Calep Smallwood, three brothers, Bryan Sellards, Neal (Debbie) Sellards, Donnie Smallwood, two sisters, Kathy (Ervin) Thacker, Deloris "Lois" (Donald) Ratliff, two grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday at 6p.m. at the Faith First Baptist Church at Jimmie's Creek. Church services will be Tuesday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Wednesday Nov. 15, 2023 at 12 Noon at the Jimmie's Creek Faith First Baptist Church with Terry Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in the Dow Brooks Cemetery at Draffin, Ky.
