Eulyus Bentley

October 23, 1926 — January 17, 2019

Eulyus Victor Bentley, age 92, passed away Thursday, January 17, 2019 at the Whitesburg ARH Hospital  Eulyus was born on October 23, 1926 to his parents the late Hannie Mark Bentley and Mauldie Belcher Bentley.  He was the husband of the late Lillian Wright Bentley, a former owner of Bentley's Service Station and Trucking, and a minister of the Pilgrim Rest Old Regular Baptist Church.  He also served his country honorably in the United States Army during World War II.       Along with his wife and parents, Eulyus was preceded in death by one son, Bradley Bentley, one daughter, Cynthia Short, three sisters, Laura Hardin, Lois Johnson, Frona Powell, and two brothers, Bruce Bentley, and Joe Eddie Hardin.      Eulyus is survived by one son, Gregory (Kathy) Bentley, two daughters, Catherine (Ronald) Schrock, Sandra (William) Faulkner, two sisters, Carol Tackett, Patsy Armstrong, six grandchildren, Leanna (Jared) Moore, Travis Schrock, Matthew (Clarissa) Short, Christopher Schrock, Ben Faulkner, Sara Faulkner, three great grandchildren, Lexie, Kaylee, and Kelsey, and a host of loving family and friends.     Visitation will be Friday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home.  Church services will be Friday and Saturday at 7p.m.   The funeral will be Sunday, January 20, 2019 at 1p.m. with Danny Belcher, Jerry Damron, and others officiating.  Burial will follow in the Green Acres Cemetery at Whitesburg.
